LWND stands for local design and manufacturing, fights excessive production and waste, promotes durability and repair. Our Jeans are manufactured in Vienna, with a strong emphasis on sustainability. Our organic fabric is sourced from Italy, and our threads are made from recycled materials. Furthermore, our jeans are designed to be easily repaired with original parts if needed. Quality, sustainability, and durability are at the core of our philosophy.
The city of Vienna is very well known worldwide for the quality of life, for the attention to the environment, for the commitment to equality and civil rights. These values are not typically in the DNA of the fashion industry. This has to change, and we have the ambition to contribute.
Our Products
Well, emotions first… we love what we wear, we chose it carefully, we want it to be beautiful and special, and we would like it to last forever. When we change is a choice, not because we are in need, and we might come back to our old pair of jeans anytime, because we can.
We do that caring for details that grant robustness but also easy repair, because wear is normal and maintenance is needed, wear is life and maintenance is care. Since we have a lot to live and to care for, it must be made easier and faster, not absorbing time and resources that can be better employed.
Buttons, Pockets, Zip, every detail is designed for the best use and the most efficient substitution in case of need, with original spare parts. It is not only what, it is also how. We experiment every day better way to produce, techniques and tools but also flexible working time and dialogue within our team and with our customers.

We, LWND.
We, Luigi Zucchino and Emilio Parato, grew together in Canavese, region in northern Italy that takes his name from Canapa (Hemp), one of the most ancient fabrics utilized well before cotton and silk. But the region was known in the XX century for his industrial footprint, starting with specialized workforce operating in whole Europe to build the first railways and reaching the top of the modern electronic and informatic industry with Olivetti.
After 30 years of different life and experiences we met again in Mariahilfer Straße and we discovered to be by chance neighbors… and as it often happens with friends, it was like having met just the day before. We re-started from common habits: jogging and talking, sharing dreams and expectations. And there, kilometer after kilometer, LWND was born, coming from our experience in textile repair and industrial vehicles, from our discussion on durability and repair, quality and total cost of ownership, sustainability and social responsibility.
If sustainable fabric and equal industrial approach are in our roots, Viennese Culture and Philosophy gave the inspiration to create a brand to give substance to our ambition.
